Creative Purpose was built to make collaborative development more efficient without lowering the caliber of the writers or the quality of the work. Our model brings together accomplished screenwriters in small, curated teams, giving each project multiple creative perspectives, and for many engagements, allowing a development budget to cover more projects than a traditional approach.

Figures represent estimated screenplay development costs only. The Creative Purpose estimate is based on a team of non-WGA writers with significant industry success, including Black List selections, competition wins, and sold screenplays. The development fee pays for the work of developing the screenplay, not ownership of it. Screenplay ownership and rights are established in each project's written agreement: a partner keeps the rights to the concept or IP they brought, while rights to one of our completed scripts transfer through an option or purchase agreement. Additional option, purchase, production, guild, bonus, backend, and other contingent compensation may apply if a project advances. Actual costs vary by project, writer, scope, and deal structure; engagements involving WGA writers or partner-funded development arrangements may carry different cost structures.
